We are on the lookout for a skilled DB2 System Programmer to become part of our vibrant and committed team.

Your role in a nutshell:

As a DB2 System Programmer, you will be a professional tasked with the setup, arrangement, upkeep, and overall supervision of DB2 database software.

What will be your responsibilities:

  • Support testing, implementation, and setup of new/enhanced systems, along with product upgrades;
  • Establish guidelines, norms, and methods for the support and utilization of the Database system;
  • Oversee and sustain database systems to ensure peak performance and accessibility;
  • Execute regular backups and recovery processes;
  • Conduct periodic performance assessments and adjustments to enhance query efficiency;
  • Pinpoint and resolve performance impediments;
  • Collaborate with application developers to devise and implement streamlined database structures;
  • Maintain data glossaries and records;
  • Deploy and manage database high availability solutions (e.g., clustering, replication).

Prerequisites:

  • Demonstrated expertise as a DB2 System Programmer or in a corresponding capacity;
  • Solid understanding of DB2 database management and administration, DB2 Recovery scenarios;
  • Exceptional trouble-shooting and problem-solving abilities;
  • Familiarity with top practices for database security;
  • Preferred qualification in IBM DB2.
