Associate Lab Computing Analyst

We're on the hunt for a Lab Computing Analyst to join our team in Krakow.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement, monitor, and provide technical support for customer laboratory IT environments, often integrated with instrumentation
  • Implement customer-specified benchtop computing design and processes
  • Administer and ensure connectivity of customers' Windows-based platform
  • Maintain and support the operating system, desktop hardware, peripherals, enterprise print strategy, management tools, application packaging, desktop tool development, software distribution, and core desktop applications
  • Manage on-boarding, retirement, and relocation of equipment
  • Implement Windows-based security, including but not limited to user/group permissions, file/folder permissions, group policies, local security policies, etc.
  • Analyze, identify, and implement enhancements, upgrades, and/or solutions to improve desktop platform support promptly
  • Ensure compliance with the client's corporate policies through regular reporting and compliance programs
  • Act as the technical support contact for field service engineers, resolving and diagnosing client instrument and information technology issues
  • Follow documented procedures, policies, troubleshooting, and best practices
  • Create and maintain a physical inventory of lab equipment, PCs, software, and other relevant information
  • Submit weekly Engineer reports to the team lead by COB on the last business day of the week
  • Act as a Liaison for software/hardware-related inquiries
  • Escalate IT issues unresolved by PKI Lab IT analysts
  • Participate in client team meetings
  • Escalate delivery concerns to the team lead
Critical Skills:
  • Outstanding customer service skills paired with an ability to listen to and interpret client requests
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technology issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to identify, track, and complete tasks for multiple projects within specified timeframes
Basic Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or relevant industry experience
  • One year of deskside experience including, but not limited to, Windows technologies, networking, remote computing, and backup systems
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with scientific instrumentation
  • Experience in Life Science environment
