The Credit department is responsible for assessing credit risks arising from sales with 3rd party customers. Their main goal is to evaluate customer creditworthiness based on industry, sovereign, and market intelligence, and determine suitable credit terms for sales. The department's objective is to assist in achieving business goals through informed decision-making aligned with Business Risk Appetite, World Class People, and efficient risk management processes. The organization is accountable for approving credit exposures and actively monitoring customer performance to ensure compliance with agreements.

Job Purpose:

  • Responsible for efficiently managing credit risk as per policy and credit committee directives, authorizing credit blocked order releases, and making credit decisions. Provide support to the Sales team on Credit-related matters.
  • Conduct credit sessions with dedicated sales teams.
  • Suport the Regional Credit Manager and engage with virtual regional credit teams.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Manage Credit Activities by overseeing credit risk according to Downstream Credit Manual (DCM) and credit committee directives. Provide authorized approval for releasing credit blocked orders and making credit decisions./li>
  • Manage 3rd party contracts and offer Credit-related support to countries within the Cluster.
  • Interpret policies and guide businesses on sound credit management principles.
  • Maintain close relationships with sales managers and stay updated on industry developments.
  • Conduct customer visits as required.
  • Support less experienced colleagues and implement cross-border credit strategies.

Key Challenges:

  • High profile role interacting with senior Finance/Business leaders and customers. Leadership skills are essential to enhance commercial opportunities while managing credit risks effectively. Building strong relationships with Sales Teams is vital.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively and handle high-risk situations with expertise. Must understand risks and external factors impacting the organization.
  • Deal with Credit activities in volatile environments and be adaptable to changing conditions.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting/Business preferred; professional degree mandatory
  • 3-4 years in Credit Management roles
  • Experience in Financial Analysis and Credit decision making
  • Familiarity with the Latin American market or customers
  • Prior experience in a multinational company, preferably in Shared Services
  • Proficiency in English & Spanish
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a shifting environment
  • Availability for shifts 14:30 - 23:00
