Job DescriptionTE Connectivity's Materials Planning teams are responsible for material flow plans, schedules, and monitoring within the production cycle. They determine the quantity and date of material orders to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production orders in line with supply agreements, and develop schedules for use in the manufacturing plant based on forecasts and historical analysis. The team develops specifications for new contractual orders, as well as forecasts and plans for workforce needs. They provide timely and accurate information on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher-level supplier performance reviews with the strategic procurement team. They also monitor costs, schedules, and the scope of assigned subcontracts to ensure the best quality at the best value.
Responsibilities- Plan and release production orders
- Track production plan execution and make corrections if necessary
- Analyze demand versus production capacities
- Confirm customer orders based on production capabilities and material availability
- Monitor workloads in assigned production areas
- Collaborate with the Customer Service department
- Place orders with suppliers and prepare purchasing forecasts
- Escalate to suppliers in case of material shortages
- Monitor delivery schedules and take corrective actions in case of risks
- Responsible for taking necessary actions to achieve departmental goals
- Monitor KPIs in their own area
- Analyze medium-term production and procurement plans
- Continuous improvement and proactive attitude
- Close and daily collaboration with other internal departments
- Proficient knowledge of key transactions in the SAP system
- Ability to interpret basic parameters of Master Data in SAP
- Other duties assigned by superiors as per business needs
- Experience in production planning
- Advanced English language proficiency
- Familiarity with SAP system
- Experience working in a manufacturing company
- Analytical skills
- High level of assertiveness and clear communication skills
- Independence in decision-making
- Ability to set priorities and good organizational skills
