About our team


Meet the Technology Excellence and Innovation team. Our mission is to lead Nordea Technology to higher levels of productivity, advancing the experience we provide to our customers by enabling innovation and expanding the impact of our Technologists. Our scope includes driving adoption of new work methods, researching emerging technologies, advising senior leadership, mentoring teams, and promoting collaboration across teams.

What you'll be doing:

Identify areas of improvement in the current development processes and implement changes to enhance the development experience. Design technical solutions for strategic projects across the bank. Support the implementation of Business Technology Strategy and related principles and practices, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. Communicate vision and drive adoption of new work methods. Research emerging technologies, tools and methodologies to transform software development. Advise senior leadership on technology trends and industry developments. Mentor teams to foster a culture of agility and continuous improvement. Collaborate with developers to pilot and adopt innovative solutions and new ways of working. Facilitate workshops, forums, community of practices and cross-functional initiatives.

Who you are

Your background and skills include:

Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Proficiency in one or more programming languages. Understanding of software development principles and best practices. Proactive problem-solver, proactive in finding improvement methods and continuous development and implementing them in day-to-day work on various levels. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Analytical and creative problem-solving abilities. Ability to think strategically and translate innovative ideas into actionable plans. Excellent English skills, both spoken and written. Passion for exploring new technologies. Ability to build and maintain professional networks.

It would be ideal if you also have...
