Our Client is a leader in the FMCG industry.

Description



General Ledger Management:
  • Records, processes, and maintains financial transactions in the general ledger, including journal entries for prepaid expenses and invoice accruals.
  • Reviews and analyzes general ledger accounts to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Processes monthly payroll entries and reconciles them with the payroll subledger.
  • Manages intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
  • Collaborates with finance and accounting teams to ensure smooth information flow.


Month-End Close and Reconciliations:
  • Leads month-end preparation and timely reporting, including P&L and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Provides accurate financial data and analyzes key P&L variances during month-end activities.
  • Maintains control over the P&L and balance sheet, including payroll.
  • Performs regular balance sheet reconciliations and resolves variances.


Financial Reporting and Tax Preparation:
  • Resolves discrepancies and ensures accurate financial reporting with other entities.
  • Prepares monthly VAT returns for regional finance manager approval.
  • Handles other tax returns and payments, such as payroll and withholding taxes.
  • Supports audit requests for interim, Group IFRS, and local statutory audits.
  • Ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulations.


Other Responsibilities:
  • Supports general accounting matters and cross-functional projects.
  • Conducts ad hoc financial analysis as required by management.
  • Provides financial information to support decision-making.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5 years of relevant experience as a general ledger accountant or financial controller.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounts and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Good skills in Excel.
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, and solution-focused.
  • Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ambition to advance to a senior controller role.
