Role: Senior Manager, Tax

Overview

The Senior Manager, Tax plays a pivotal role in formulating and executing European tax strategies, handling tax-related complexities, and overseeing specialized initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy and Planning
    • Assist in devising tax strategies for business deals, mergers and real estate ventures, including post-transaction integration
    • Address and resolve ongoing tax challenges linked to routine business operations to enhance the Company's tax efficacy
    • Spearhead technical tax explorations and supervise external tax consultants within EMEA
  • Risk Management
    • Monitor and mitigate overall tax risks across EMEA, covering direct and indirect taxes
  • Tax Returns
    • Offer technical tax insights and aid in filing tax returns for EMEA
    • Provide technical tax guidance and assistance during tax audits within EMEA
  • EMEA Tax Technical Matters
    • Conduct technical tax inquiries and offer support on the Company's transfer pricing, commissionaire framework, and REIT issues within EMEA
    • Collaborate with external advisors on intricate and significant tax matters
  • Local Statutory Financial Statements
    • Provide technical tax consultation and support for the tax provisioning process concerning local financial statements reporting
  • Business Development
    • Cultivate and manage relationships with business partners in EMEA
  • Continued Education
    • Enhance and apply technical expertise, keeping abreast of the latest tax trends
  • REIT Compliance
    • Apply REIT tax regulations to standard transactions to oversee REIT-related risks

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience (X+ years) with BIG 4 firms and/or corporate tax departments
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA/Chartered Accountant or equivalent certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
