Technical Buyer - Equipment & Maintenance


- based in our office in Poznan -


The Technical Buyer is part of the Group Procurement Team and in charge of the end-to-end buying process for technical equipment, spare parts and external maintenance services for selected production sites in Europe – mainly Germany.


Your role

Manage the full procurement process for CAPEX, technical equipment, machines, spare parts and technical services for selected European production sites – in close cooperation with Group Central Procurement and local Plant Management and Engineering (internal customers). Identify and evaluate potential suppliers compliant with our Group purchasing strategy and requirements in order to develop a high performing supplier base for the product categories under your responsibility. Closely cooperate with technical departments to ensure that products and services meet the specific requirements. Develop and manage suppliers based on Gerflor requirements and negotiate terms and conditions to achieve the most beneficial agreements on price, payment terms, delivery schedules, service levels and other contractual terms to ensure the best value for the company. Initiate tenders and manage decision-making process (technical and commercial rounds) according to Group Standards Execute the global purchasing strategy in terms of legal, ethical and regulatory compliance to protect the companies interests. Ensure coherent documentation in the ERP system and prepare reports for the Group Management Play a proactive role in CAPEX / maintenance project management, provide cost efficient solutions and contribute to optimal project results

Requirements

University degree in mechanical or process engineering Min. 2 years of working experience in technical buyer role Very good technical understanding and strong commercial skills Experience in leading commercial and technical negotiations and in preparing supplier contracts High proficiency in data analysis and view for detail Ability to drive change and improve operational process Team Player attitude and very good communication skills Business fluent English skills and good German skills (both mandatory) Willingness to travel occasionally (local entities, Germany and France)
