Purpose: The role of RTR Analyst is to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the month end closing and related General Accounting activities within the assigned company codes and region. This requires strict adherence to company policies while working closely with the local affiliates.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

Process Expertise and Business Partnership

Be seen as a "go-to" information resource for all General Accounting (GA) related queries with full ownership for the month end close and reconciliation processWork closely with local affiliate finance to understand current activities at the affiliate and ensure these are properly reflected in the financial statements. This includes preparing accounting entries as well as reviewing locally prepared accounting entries to ensure completion and accuracy of entries as well as appropriateness of backupDevelop and manage monthly trial balance package for assigned countries, including fluctuation analysesEnsure adherence to the standard month/quarter/year-end timelinesPrepare and review account reconciliations in accordance with internal reconciliation methodologyPrepare periodical & ad-hoc reporting along with supporting Local Finance responsible for statutory fillingsSupport global/regional GA projectsSupport the overall GA team by demonstrating flexibility in providing cover for team members and training of new team membersDemonstrate excellence in all interactions with ESC internal customers and business partnersFocus on measuring and improving the internal customer’s experience with the ESCBuild and maintain a strong knowledge of your affiliate’s business

Process Governance:

Demonstrate a strong Continuous Improvement oriented approach & help to build a strong Continuous Improvement cultureActively work with the core team members and internal IT groups to identify improvements for processesReport end-to-end process metrics and KPIs to measure service levels, operational effectiveness, process health, and process compliancePrepare robust process documentation and make updates in a regular & timely manner

Controls:

Ensure prioritization and encourage a culture of compliance to SOx and other internal controls requirementsEnsure ownership for all applicable SOx & Operational controls related to General AccountingIntegrate controls into process documentation and training materialsAssists auditors (internal & external) by preparing requested data and providing explanation of supporting materials and procedures

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

University Degree in Business and/or Accounting (or equivalent work experience)1-3 years of experience in RTR or Finance function in SSC/BPO environment, preferably with in-depth knowledge of general accounting processes in a multinational environment as well as US GAAP/IFRS technical accountingExperience with SAPProven analytical, problem solving, and communication skillsProven control orientation based on prior operational business rolesAbility to respond flexibly to customer needs, effectively managing expectationsAbility to work across cultures and across diverse management stylesAbility to handle complexity and utilize analytical skills, with attention to detailAbility to effectively prioritize and complete key tasks and deliverables while demonstrating full ownership & accountabilityAbility to work in global team environment and communicate effectively with both internal business partners of all levels & disciplines, especially affiliate Project Managers outside of FinanceFluency in English language

Additional Skills / Preferences:

CPA, CIMA, ACCA, Chartered Accountant or equivalentExperience with Blackline
