We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (m/w/d) who will be the vital player ensuring the successful delivery of value in the domain of Pricing + Quote for Sea Logistics.
Your Role Reliable, high-performance and customer-oriented solutions are the pioneers of our first-class logistics services. In this area, specialists ensure our smooth IT operations day after day - and here we develop IT systems in interdisciplinary projects, using modern methods, with which we extend our lead in terms of speed, reliability and customer orientation. Be part of an international multiple-location product team which works on a mission-critical application. Work with us on the vision to change the legacy world and build a modern architecture with new green field applications, a high level of automation and a tight connection to our Kuehne + Nagel IT Ecosystem. Your Responsibilities- We are extending our team in Wroclaw, which is a partner team for our already existing team in Hamburg and newly formed team in Porto. Together we want to become one great product team, hand in hand with the business unit and soon with you.
- Be involved throughout the entire development lifecycle, from requirements definition through realization to demo and product delivery. Contribute to the active development of the whole product team. Identify and propose changes to improve the Development Process.
- Work closely with the business department to find the best technical and functional solution for new feature requests and improvements. Build together with the cross-functional product team the easy, efficient, and enjoyable solutions for our stakeholders, users, and internal customers.
- You will develop Java-based internal digital products within the global Pricing & Quote Portfolio (Web/Desktop) of Sea Logistic, write clean code and take responsibility for quality and long-term maintainability of the developed software. You will also work collaboratively on definition, specification and design of a modular and integrated software products and design as well as implement automated tests for your code.
- Have academic degree in IT / Computer Science, or equivalent work experience. You should have multiple years of experience in software development in an agile environment with a strong hands-on mentality and willingness to code, review, document and test the things being implemented by our team with highest quality standards.
- Like the idea of being a supporter + mentor, having a strong passion for IT and know how to find pragmatic and innovative solutions with maximum business value.
- Have the strong will to evolve personally as well as a team in a dynamic environment.
- Foster a no-blame culture, dare to fail and share opinions. Proactivity and ability to perform duties without immediate supervision.
- Have strong object-oriented and best practices programming skills.
- Knowledge of the technologies Java Enterprise technologies, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Docker, OpenShift, Jenkins, Elastic Search, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Git, Oracle, PostgreSQL plus experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular or NgRx makes you a valuable candidate.
- Knowledge about Hexagonal architecture, Kafka, API Gateways, Micro service architecture, DevOps will make you a super interesting candidate.
- Have fluent command of English (oral and written). Polish is very useful and a big plus. German nice to have.
