​​Within Azure Data, the messaging and real-time analytics team provides comprehensive solutions and a robust platform that enables users to ingest high granularity signals (real-time & observability) and complex data, converting those into a competitive advantage in real-time for both end users and modern applications. ​

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Messaging and Real-Time Analytics team you will help us achieve our mission of enabling no-code users to get intelligent insights and create automated processes to unlock the value hidden in data. We're seeking a great Senior Software Engineer, who loves finding clean solutions to hard problems, tackling scale and distributed systems challenges, people with automation-first mindset. Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

​​Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. 4+ years of hands-on experience in creating high quality design, code and tests. 2+ years of experience with large-scale software engineering. 4+ years of experience in delivering high quality production systems/services. 2+ years of professional backend development experience.​

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

​​Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python. Application development and deployment experience with cloud services ( e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP). Effective verbal and written communication. Experience in C# and PowerShell.  Experience in working in DevOps model.​

Responsibilities

​​Build core infrastructure and backend services for the product. Drive key architecture decisions and overall direction of the product. Design, develop and maintain product features using proven engineering practices. Coach, mentor and provide technical guidance to more junior engineers to boost their growth. Find bottlenecks in our DevOps process and improve them through smart automation. Adjust our services and processes to obey the latest and greatest security and privacy standard. Collaborate with other engineers within the product (Warsaw, London, Redmond) and across Microsoft.​
