Purpose
The Staff Accountant will assist with month-end and year-end close process, payroll processing, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable, and assist with postings to the general ledger. Staff Accountant will manage communication with the international outsourcing teams and coordinate closing activities. Essential FunctionsHelp process month-end and year-end close process
Reconcile balance sheet accounts to the general ledger
Post month end journal entries
Provide monthly reporting comparing actual results with budgeted projections
Assistin the process of developing budgets
Support all day-to-day accounting functions
Bank reconciliations
Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable activity with international outsourcing teams
Qualifications & Requirements
Must be PC proficient with strong experience with Microsoft Excel, and Word.Able to thrive in a fast -pace settingStrong verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills requiredAbility to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines requiredExperience with NetSuite or other large automated accounting system preferredThe marginal functions of this position have not been included. At POLARIS Laboratories, when going through the Laboratory it is required that you wear eye protection.Team members will be trained in the proper use and care of assigned PPE. POLARIS Laboratories provides the required PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your Manager.To ensure safety throughout the facility, all employees are required to maintain up to date HAZMAT, OSHA, RCRA, Methylene Chloride, and General Laboratory Safety training as defined within the POLARIS Quality System.
