Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent technical experience
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in web data acquisition, data engineering, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in Javascript, HTML and CSS is a must.
    • Nice to have: experience with Xpath, Regex, Git, Web-scraping, SQL, Excel, any REST API, GraphQL
    • Familiarity with AWS solutions
    • Familiarity with 'jq' (command-line JSON processor) is a plus, aiding in efficient data manipulation and processing tasks.

Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer at Importio you will play a crucial role in collaborating with the Customer Support, Delivery, and Engineering teams to tackle challenging issues related to website blocking, data manipulation, data extraction and tooling expansion. Your primary responsibility will be to create, build, and optimize solutions and pipelines, streamlining our Web Data Acquisition services using both internal tooling and third-party integrations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Sales, Delivery, Customer Support and Engineering teams to quickly assess data acquisition feasibility of websites
  • Solve challenging problems related to website blocking, data-manipulation, and expanding our current tooling
  • Create/Build/Optimize new/current solutions and pipelines to help streamline our Web Data Acquisition services using our internal tooling as well as third party integrations.
  • Tackle unique web technology problems escalated by our customer support team
  • Identify engineering issues and help define requirements for the engineering team
  • Contribute to our ever growing documentation both customer facing and internal
