Tasks

Create, evaluate, and execute cost reduction ideas through technical and commercial analysis and data gathering during the whole product life cycle (Value engineering+ Value Analysis); Lead technical/commercial discussions with a cross-functional team in order to prepare for CCB (Change Control Board) presentation and stakeholder approvals; Work with engineering and supply base to identify alternate components/technologies and circuit designs to generate savings, improve profitability; Work with visit suppliers (and ZF manufacturing plants) in order to analyze process, materials, and tooling to support cost reduction using appropriate techniques in Design to Cost, Value Stream Mapping and Lean Manufacturing; Provide project management/leadership and reporting to all stakeholders; Provide ad-hoc support to the Materials Management team in order to support the Business Unit.

Profile

Higher education (Bachelor degree is enough), preferred in Engineering; Min. 5 years of experience in Application Engineering, Materials Management, Supplier development, Supplier Quality in the area of Forging Forming, Casting Steal, and Bearings components/technologies. Fluent in English; Knowledge of Microsoft Package (good Excel and PowerPoint skills) , experience with SAP would be a plus; Strong technical and commercial analytical skills in order to identify and drive product changes; Ability to work autonomously; accountability for delivering results; Strong communicator and negotiator within cross-functional project teams.
