Supplier Performance Mfg SME

The Manufacturing Process Subject Matter Expert (SME) team is responsible for supporting the SPE activities in component design, commodity strategy, and supplier selection for products / processes.
Additionally, the stamping SME will be the go-to resource for stamping process development in our supply chain.
The primary responsibilities of the Stamping SME are:
Leading stamping supplier development and qualification activities for new products (, identification of project risks and mitigating actions, managing project schedules, approval of supplier process documents, process capability analyses, measurement system analyses, etc.). Maintain industry leading stamping knowledge through training, research, process councils, etc. Drive continuous improvement with our stamping suppliers through supplier evaluations and flawless launch processes, using disciplined problem-solving approaches. Mentor and train members of the SPE teams on stamping. Lead complex stamping issue recovery efforts. Maintain a close relationship with his/her peers in the SPE teams to share best practices, drive process standardization, and coordinate on global cost-out and continuous improvement projects that require SME support.Requirements:
Bachelor Degree or higher in Engineering Minimum 10 years Manufacturing Engineering experience in stamping processes (Transfer, Progressive, Deep Drawn, and Fine Blanking, etc.) including tool and die design, stamping industry design standards and stamping press operation. Minimum 5-years of experience in the nuclear or related energy industry (desired) Professional Certifications: Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) or equivalent experience and a development plan to pursue Effective communication with different disciplines and functions Respectful negotiation and conflict resolution Proactive approach to work / risk management Results oriented and self-driven Questioning attitude and continual interest to learn and develop Effective decision maker – timely and using data, facts, input, etc. Team oriented and collaborative Ability to effectively mentor and develop others Mobility around 10-20% Travel (globally)Benefits:
