Summary of Position

Senior, Accountant will perform accounting work involving financial accounting and reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Review and account for Accruals / COGS / Prepaids/ Payroll Prepare and post journal entries required to reflect the financial transactions of the Company Prepare and file necessary supporting documentation for journal entries Review, audit, and code AP bills. Prepare account reconciliations for assigned accounts, including required documentation and support to comply with internal controls and SOX Support external and internal audits Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions Perform special accounting and financial projects as assigned Research technical accounting issues

The time spent on each responsibility reflects an estimate and is subject to change dependent on business needs. 

Qualifications Expected for Position

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent 5-7 years relevant experience Experience with medium to large ERP system (Oracle / D365 preferable) Advance knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles Understanding of SOX control requirements Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills Strong problem solving skills Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities Comfortable working in environments with high degree of change Intermediate to advanced Excel skills ERP user skills (Microsoft D365 / NetSuite preferred)
