Job Description

Work as Technical Engineering Manager using modern software development techniques to produce world-class public safety software - Command Central Call Handling. Our products allow customers to respond effectively in mission-critical operating environments. We’re looking for a highly motivated Engineering Manager to lead one of our scrum teams in building highly resilient, Cloud based services(Java, Angular, RUST, AWS, Azure) that truly makes a difference

Responsibilities and expectations

Builds and maintains high performing team

Supports individuals development through feedback, coaching and mentoring in day to day work

E2E ownership for the team commitments and results

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Leads and sets direction and priorities for a scrum team

Track of records in terms of building efficient team and growing talents

Has broad understanding of the problems of our customers from business and technical perspectives to lead the team to develop E2E elegant solutions 

Provides timely feedback and alternative solutions to technical problems

Grows the team’s technical expertise

Provides updates to leadership team on team’s progress, risks and issues based on data

Self driven, energetic, highly innovative person with a positive attitude

Effectively collaborates with technical leaders and stakeholders in a multi-team environment

Demonstrates flexibility and resilience in the face of changing priorities and requirements


Basic Requirements

Experience in cooperation with geographically dispersed cross-functional teams(e.g. different time zones)

Experience in building cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud or similar), GitHub, K8s

Proven experience working as an engineering leader (engineering manager or technical leader)

Comfortable in working with people as well as on technical tasks 

Ability to identify roadblocks and drive them promptly to resolution

Excellent communication skills

Excellent verbal and written English

Practical experience with Agile and Scrum

Practical knowledge of one of the following languages would be an additional asset: Java -preferred, .Net Core/C# or RUST
