Job Description

As a Business Controller Portfolio, you will be the financial and analytical business partner to the Regional Expansion team, working with controlling of the expansion strategy and portfolio management.  

Your Core Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Build and support strategic plans such as Expansion Growth Playbook, Store Portfolio Roadmaps, growth plans, Capex investment, and negotiation strategy for all H&M Group in East Europe (21 countries, 500+ stores).  
  • Contribute to the strategy for growth, consolidations, negotiations, and portfolio management in your region. 
  • Translate global strategies and set tangible goals and targets for sales markets in your region. 
  • Support sales market teams in their needs for tools or analyses, raise the need for relevant tools with global Controlling, and co-create tools for global use. 
  • Set and implement controlling routines and analysis methods for Leasing Managers and sales market Controllers. 
  • Support & build various business cases to help grow and improve the profitability of the regional store portfolio.  
  • Support preparation for business case board approvals, ensuring timely submission of documentation, and data accuracy and that the business case supports the overall regional & global strategic direction. 
  • Set sales and cost forecasting routines for preparing business cases, and create, utilize, and continuously update benchmark data for budgeting and forecasting purposes. 
  • Analyze trends and deviations versus budget/targets and conclude how to improve results. 
  • Collaborate with and support stakeholders such as Expansion controlling team, Leasing teams, construction & facility functions, Expansion Manager, and Global Retail Teams. 

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate skillful in communicating and presenting information to various stakeholders & management teams. You should be comfortable with and enjoy working with data analysis and be able to connect data with making strategic decisions. You enjoy teamwork and collaborate effectively with groups of diverse people to reach set goals and targets. 

What you need to succeed: 

  • 3+ years of relevant experience. 
  • Experience working in the field of controlling is meriting. 
  • Experience in preparing and presenting financial reporting to senior management and other stakeholders. 
  • Analytical mindset and ability to visualize data.  
  • Experience working with analytical tools such as Excel and Power BI.
  • Resilient / achievement-oriented. 
  • Fluent in written and spoken English. 


Additional Information

This is a full-time position located in Warsaw, Poland. The Business Controller Portfolio role is part of the Expansion department and reports to the Regional Expansion Controller.
