Join us as a Consolidation Analyst

  • This is an opportunity to join the Planning, Consolidation & Control team to become an expert on budget & scenario consolidation and reporting processes
  • Utilising your astute attention to detail, you’ll be helping to produce monthly consolidated statutory income statements and balance sheets
  • You’ll be working with a dedicated and collaborative team that has a strong track record of delivery

What you'll do  

As a Consolidation Analyst, you’ll be carrying out key activities to complete the consolidated budget and scenario results. This will include preparing and posting adjustments, querying and understanding data submissions from stakeholders, and preparing commentary and analysis to demonstrate an understanding of the outputs.

As well as this, you’ll be:

  • Supporting the delivery of regulatory stress test
  • Managing changes in the financial reporting requirements and delivering effective process improvements such as simplification, automation of data and reporting processes
  • Assisting the Consolidation Team Manager with continuous improvement, operational and data quality initiatives
  • Analysing group-wide results and also review and challenge data submissions
  • An effective ambassador for the Consolidation team when dealing with key stakeholders

The skills you'll need  

We’re looking for qualified accountant or someone working towards this qualification. You’ll bring knowledge of statutory reporting requirements, particularly consolidation accounting and principles, along with a track record of meeting tight deadlines and delivering high quality work.

You’ll also demonstrate:

  • Several years of experience as a financial analyst within a large financial organisation
  • Knowledge of how data is used within a financial organisation, both operationally and for reporting and analysis
  • The ability to understand the key drivers and issues behind the reported outputs
  • An awareness of the impact of macro environmental factors on a bank’s financial performance would be advantageous
  • Highly developed Microsoft Excel skills
  • The ability to identify, build and enhance key relationships, influencing and challenging as needed
  • A proactive approach to continuously improving tasks and procedures
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate issues

Knowledge of Oracle EPM (PBCS) would also be advantageous.
