Position: Lingerie Designer

Type of contract: Independent contractor

Working Hours: 40hours Mondays to Fridays

This Fashion company is seeking an inventive and curious Lingerie Designer to join their team and help shape a new online lingerie brand. Collaborating with experienced industry professionals from True&Co, Calvin Klein, and Victoria’s Secret, you will create lingerie and loungewear that is both stunningly beautiful and of the highest quality. As part of a close-knit design team, you will oversee your designs from initial sketch to final garment production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the full design development process, from concept to production, ensuring your styles align with brand values and standards.
• Collaborate with the founder and senior team to refine and evolve designs, integrating feedback and upholding the brand’s aesthetic and quality standards.
• Create precise technical flats and CAD designs using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, employing advanced tools like fills, brushes, and masks for accurate garment representation.
• Work closely with the technical design team, participating in fit sessions from initial prototypes to final size approvals, ensuring feedback is communicated to domestic and overseas factories.
• Conduct in-depth market research using fashion resources, social media, and other sources to ensure designs resonate with our target audience.
• Partner with raw materials suppliers to source and develop seasonal lace, fabrics, trims, and accessories, collaborating with European and Asia-Pacific partners to introduce innovative, cost-effective components.
• Liaise with international manufacturing partners to streamline product development and sampling processes, adhering to design calendar deadlines.

Requirements

• Excellent English communication Skills (Must Have)
• BA/BFA in Fashion Design or Contour Fashion. (Must Have)
• 3-5 years of experience in the fashion industry, with a focus on lingerie or swimwear. (Must Have)
• Strong creative design skills with the ability to present concepts from hand sketches to CAD. (Must Have)
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign); experience with 3D design software (Clo) or print repeat design (Nice to Have)
• Knowledge of technical construction, patternmaking, and raw materials.
• Risk-taker with a strong sense of personal style and a passion for pushing creative boundaries.
