We are seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer with exposure in High-Performance Computing (HPC) to join our team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure to support the organization's journey to cloud mission. This position requires a combination of skills in software development, cloud engineering, and HPC technologies to ensure the smooth operation of our computational workloads and services.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Premises HPC Infrastructure Management: Design, build, and maintain a robust and scalable HPC infrastructure on our on-premises data center to meet computational requirements. Monitor and optimize HPC cluster performance, ensuring high availability and reliability for various applications and simulations. DevOps and Automation: Implement and manage automation tools and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline software deployment and infrastructure provisioning. Collaborate with software development teams to integrate HPC applications into the CI/CD process. Configuration Management:Utilize configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) to maintain consistency across the HPC cluster and ensure reproducibility of environments.
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a focus on managing on-premises HPC infrastructure. Proficiency in scripting and programming languages like Terraform, Python, Bash, or Perl. In-depth knowledge of High-Performance Computing concepts, including parallel computing, job scheduling, and cluster management. Experience with HPC schedulers such as SLURM, LSF. Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Singularity) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes) Strong understanding of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible) Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
