The Senior Accountant is responsible for the execution of accounting processes cross EMEA region.                 Main responsibilities include preparation and recording of all accounting transactions and performing account reconciliations with the focus on revenues and accrued liabilities/expenses

YOU WILL

  • Process (collect data/calculate/post) manual journal entries in the JDE Ewards system.
  • Approve and certify manual journal entries in Backline with quality and agreed timelines
  • Reconcile selected B/S balances in Blackline according to internal guidelines
  • Perform assigned accounting activities
  • Support regional and global reporting requirements for all areas under Regional Controllership responsibility (e.g. monthly B/S and P&L reviews)
  • Execute monthly/quarterly/annual close processes and work closely with Regional Controllership teams to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Ensure processes comply with US GAAP, company policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements, and local rules and regulations.
  • Implement SOX controls and operational controls  
  • Participate in continuous process improvement; provide audit support
  • Participate in transformation activities, projects, system enhancements, ad hoc accounting activities, etc.
  • Collaborate within the accounting team, using various channels of collaboration

YOU NEED

  • 7+ years of relevant professional finance experience, including a minimum of 3 years leading and developing a team
  • Experience in a multinational and/or audit environment with a focus on indirect taxes and a good knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills, diplomacy and a flexible attitude
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Master's degree in Finance/Accounting or ACCA/CIMA qualified.
