The role
We seek to hire an experienced Technical Project Manager with responsibility to understand the technical domain for the project that they are managing. This role will involve working with our project/programme management organisation, engineering teams and also customers to successfully drive projects through the development process.
You will:
Be responsible for ensuring delivery of Imagination’s engineering projects – this could be anything from the IP for an integrated circuit to a graphics driverEnsure that technical decisions are taken in a timely manner by coordinating the experts from the various technical teams, have the knowledge and background to participate and guide these discussionsWork closely with the Technical Leads, Engineering Manager and Programme Manager to come up with mitigations for scheduling, scope or resourcing issues.Provide leadership and coordinate the work of technical teams of electronics engineers and software engineersUnderstand and diagnose project technical risks and issues and be able to guide solutionsBe responsible for tracking project deadlines and communicating project status to the programme teamsCreate, manage and report on a plan for the internal resources to deliver product of the correct technical quality at the agreed cost and to the agreed schedule.Protect the team from over-pressure and conflicting priorities and escalate any issues that they are unable to resolve to the Programme Manager.Work with third parties to help ensure they deliver in support of engineering goals and contractual commitmentsRun regular calls with customers, with minutes and follow-up actions recordedAbout you

You'll have:
Significant previous experience in technical project management within complex technical development, e.g. a silicon design, system design or software environmentAbility to understand technical knowledge and ask the questions required to receive necessary informationStrong time and task management skillsSignificant experience of managing technical projectsUnderstanding of engineering development processesExperience of presenting to senior managementAttention to detailInitiative and drivePassion for achieving resultsYou might also have:
Automotive experience (ADAS)Safety Critical development projectsExperience of Agile methodologiesSub-contract management experienceWho we are
