  • Responsibility for managing global die casting and plastics tooling programmes.
  • Liaising with R&D and engineering teams to create cost-effective and feasible designs for parts and assemblies.
  • Assist in the selection of suitable raw materials for new product development programmes.
  • Participating in the evaluation and selection of suppliers.
  • Negotiating tooling and parts costs with suppliers.
  • Reviewing and approving tool designs for compliance with specifications, costs and production requirements.
  • Overseeing tool trials and troubleshooting to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Working with suppliers to meet quality standards and planning their production capacity into the company's long-term plans.
  • Continuous improvement of tooling processes to improve product quality and reduce production costs.
  • Creating and maintaining engineering documentation, tooling records, project budgets and schedules.
  • Keeping management informed of project costs, schedules and changes.
  • Continuous evaluation of existing tooling systems to identify opportunities for optimisation and improvement.
  • Implement modifications and improvements to tooling designs to increase productivity, reduce cycle times and improve product quality.
  • Responsibility for tool modifications to support design changes.
  • Troubleshooting product or tool design and production issues.
  • Oversee tool maintenance and repairs to ensure optimum performance and tool life.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve tool performance issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to minimise downtime and production disruption.
  • Develop preventive maintenance schedules and procedures in collaboration with suppliers to extend the life of tool systems and minimise the risk of unforeseen failures.
  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings through optimisation of materials, processes and tools.
  • Management of orders, invoices and goods receipts.
  • Development of new tooling sources to reduce CapEx costs for new and existing tools.
Responsibility for managing global die casting and plastics tooling programmes.|Negotiating tooling and parts costs with suppliers.
  • University degree in engineering (mechanical engineering, manufacturing or die casting/plastic technology or related).
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in an identical or related position.
  • Experience in injection and casting mould design and tooling engineering.
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes for die casting and plastics, including prototyping.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and analyse mould flow simulation reports.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and team working skills, also remotely (Teams).
  • Fluency in English (min. B2), knowledge of Polish and other languages will be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, Microsoft Office, and SAP will be an asset.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally if required.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and knowledge of measurement tools.
