What You Will Do:
Be a QA engineer in terms of "hands on" contribution and a driving force in our Growth product team. Responsible for creating test approaches for the product development teams and collaborating with the team to ensure they are fulfilled Ensure QA is fully part of the CI/CD pipeline and promote the benefits of Test-Driven Development and automation first Build robust, scalable, and high-quality test automation both for front-end and API solutions Player / Coach other junior members of the QA engineering team in terms of craft and behaviors Develop, execute, and maintain test automation frameworks for different test environments Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with applications and domains Participate in design and architecture discussions, escalate issues where needed Communicate effectively with external and internal teams Review and debug code Create pipelines for continuous integration Perform different types of testing such as Smoke testing, functional test, regression test Perform test for mobile devices (Android and iOS apps) Sign off on new features and functionality Enjoy exploratory testingWhat You Will Need:
4+ years of experience as SDET or Automation Engineer The majority of our QA frameworks use Javascript /or Typescript so ability to code in or pick up these languages is a must. API Automation and UI Automation (mobile or web) experience with good organizational and automation practices being used. Strong hands-on experience testing native devices such as Android, iOS preferred Exposure to a modern UI framework like webdriverIO, Cypress or playwright is preferred Familiar with page object pattern API/RESTful service testing experience Experience with Jira or other PMT for issue & task Management API/RESTful service testing experience Experience with Jira or other PMT for issue & task Management Familiar with CI/CD processes in Gitlab or similar tooling. Ability to decompose a feature to identify the critical automation components. Experience thinking about risk, creating test strategies, and validating the quality of testing plans & procedures Some mix of exposure the following areas:
Linux/Unix
Kubernetes/Docker
AWS platform experience
Splunk/New Relic monitoring
Terraform (optional)
Experience with other programming languages such as Java, Scala
Aptitude in one or more of the following is a plus:
A passion for sports, sports betting, online games, and/or casino games Experience working on or closely with DevOps teams Proficiency with non-functional testing Experience thinking about risk, creating test strategy, and validating the quality of testing plans & proceduresThis role is remote, with one required visit to your designated home office per quarter.
