As our Accreditation Manager for GHG, you'll play a vital role in helping us navigate the evolving regulatory landscape and ensure our services meet international standards. This is a great opportunity to be at the forefront of environmental change in the shipping industry
What You’ll Do:
By joining our team at DNV, you will have the opportunity to:
Manage Accreditations: Oversee our accreditations with key bodies like DAkkS, UKAS, and other global accreditation bodies. Work with Flag State Authorizations : Handle authorizations from flag states to maintain compliance. Conduct risk analyses : Focusing on verification and impartiality risks. Work on Program Development : Lead the creation, documentation, and implementation of verification programs. Train & Guide: Train staff on regulatory compliance and provide guidance on EU, IMO, and UK regulations. Stay Current: Follow the latest updates in EU, IMO, and UK regulations, contributing to their development and advising on their application. Collaborate on Digital Tools: Work closely with the product development team to define IT requirements from a regulatory perspective. About You
To maximize your chances, you need:
Educational Background: You hold a degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Diploma) in Ship Engineering, Shipbuilding, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Studies, or a related field. Language Proficiency: You are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Technical Skills: You’re Tech-Savvy and comfortable using the MS Office suite, able to navigate through standard software with ease. Interpersonal Skills: You’re a People Person—communicative and sociable. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with others. Attention to Detail: You’re Detail-Oriented, organized, thorough, and maintain a high standard of quality in your work. Work Approach: Whether working Independently or as part of a team, you’re able to deliver results efficiently and effectively.Nice to Have:
Accreditation Experience : Experience with ISO 17029 or other accreditation processes is a strong advantage. Risk Management : Familiarity with Risk Assessments and the ability to evaluate verification and impartiality risks. Regulatory Knowledge : Understanding of regulatory frameworks like EU-MRV , UK-MRV , IMO-DCS , or FuelEU will help you excel in this role. Industry Expertise : Knowledge of DNV’s Decarbonization Services and experience with emission regulations is highly beneficial.
