Business Controller

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to analysis of data from SAP, BIW and other internal & external data portals. Typically, a Business Controller is responsible for a large portfolio of Global Suppliers, encompassing 30-40 Production plants and spend > €1bn across several thousand Suppliers. Fundamental to this is working with key stakeholders to ensure a robust plan is in place to support a high-level ambition and to monitor progress. With this in place, the focus will be to provide clear, consolidated insight and overviews to target missed potential or shortfall.

As part of a global controlling and business support team, you will form the bridge between Category teams in Danfoss Procurement, Segment Procurement and Finance, Quality Departments as well as Procurement Leaders.

Your key tasks will be:

Develop financial and performance plans for relevant scope to build a clear plan for monitor progress against. Challenge input and ongoing performance to drive results. Analyze data and provide clear insight into trends and opportunities. Provide clear overviews and proposals to appropriate departments or entities to facilitate the decision-making process. Work closely with the Controlling team to coordinate activities, analysis and development and updating of data and systems. Own and develop Power BI reports and overviews to support visibility of procurement activities and performance. Seek internal and external data points to support budgeting and forecasting input. Plan, prepare and deliver presentations for a variety of audiences (from VP to RCM) explaining performance to plan and mitigating actions. Acts as facilitator and consultant to drive performance Effective and proactive liaison with other relevant functions/departments to identify and share data, gather input on analysis and share learnings. Collaborate with report end users to continuously improve output. Understand and appreciate where the information is used and develop output to support business facing colleagues in Sales, Pricing etc. Liaising with controllers within the segments to enhance the visibility of performance reporting across the procurement organization

Background & Skills

To be consider for this position it would be good to:

hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, business or similar. have 5+ years of experience from a similar position. be open for a hybrid combination form of work. possess analytical skills and a systematic approach will be a distinct advantage as the nature of this position requires a high aptitude and ability level. have excellent data management and analysis, and you are highly efficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, or other spreadsheet and database software. use your excellent analytical mindset to see individual tasks in the bigger picture with your holistic view have an inbuild natural curiosity on top of a detail orientated mind with the capability to communicate business related topics to a broad variety of stakeholders. be able to challenge stakeholders, shining a light on the essence of your findings in relation to managing project and change management processes efficiently. thrive under pressure and enjoy being proactive, well organized and solution orientated. be an energetic and positive team player who can interact and work agile with a notion of transparency and urgency when necessary. also encompass the natural ability to share your knowledge with colleagues and stakeholders. be fluent in written and spoken English.
