Sabre Technology Engineering and Operations (TE&O) is looking for a talented Principal Software Systems Engineer – Monitoring and observability

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop and support data collection and visualization tools.

• Investigate the end-to-end process, from collection to visualization, to alert generation.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Bachelor/master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 8 - 10 years of experience scripting in languages like Python, and NodeJS. System automation experience, leading to significant time and effort savings. Deep curiosity, a passion for knowledge and continuous improvement, and excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate well with others and excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Take ownership of high-level/complex business requirements and work them to completion. Perform code review of peer development changes to ensure compliance with the Sabre Development standards and best practices.



Nice To Have Skills:

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) toolsets like Terraform or Ansible.
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Cloud Operations and Cloud Logging.
• Knowledge of SRE monitoring concepts such as SLOs, SLIs and error budgets.

• Dashboarding and storytelling using React, Grafana and InfluxDB.

Important:  This role combines development and operations work centered around monitoring and observability. We are looking for people who are comfortable with programming and are equally at ease doing operational work around monitoring tools.
