Senior Accountant

About this opportunity

As Senior Accountant you will be responsible for the timely completion of our EMEA close process and the accuracy of the EMEA financial statements under US GAAP and local GAAP. The position is responsible for assigned general ledger activities, working across accounting functions and international teams. The location of your office will be Wrocław. We can offer a hybrid work model (2 HO days). In this role, you will… Perform fixed assets and car lease activities including preparation of journal entries, activations, disposals, running depreciation and reconciliation of accounts for assigned EMEA entities; Perform intercompany activities including preparation of journal entries, intercompany invoices, clearing and reconciliation of assigned intercompany accounts; Coordinate, initiate and monitor fixed assets balances with relevant parties; Perform accruals and prepaid activities including preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of accounts; Prepare balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline; Follow up on AP & expense incidents; Prepare and execute cost allocation runs for EMEA entities; Perform and document FX analysis on a monthly basis, prepare and post necessary FX entries; Support GL group and local documentation requirements and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and SOX controls; Support banking activities (i.e. clearing bank payments, monitor bank balances); Support audit requests, working with internal and external auditors; Propose and implement process improvements; Prepare training documents, train and support team members on specific areas. In this role, you’ll need … At least 6 years of general accounting experience including experience with SOX requirements; Bachelor degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience required; Proficiency in general accounting under US GAAP and SOX requirements; Excellent written, oral and communication skills in English to work with management and cross-functional groups; Ability to work independently and be results oriented; Ability to partner with cross-functional groups to drive and influence business solutions; Problem solving and strong analytical skills; Detailed-oriented with effective organizational and time management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel; Experience with SAP preferred; Expertise with Blackline is a plus.
