Welcome to Ocado Technology. We build the Ocado Smart Platform (OSP), an end-to-end suite of ecommerce, fulfilment, and logistics solutions for grocery retailers. A critical and central component to OSP is an Order Management System. Our mission is to enable our partners to use all capabilities of their network to extend reach to new customers and provide the best offering to new customers, which requires a variety of tooling to support activities. These include products that support connecting sites to create optimal networks, monitoring customer orders and shipments, managing critical data and the movement of assets.

As a Mid level UX Researcher, you will have the opportunity to identify the goals, needs and challenges of our partners' to help shape the future of our products.

Accountabilities:

Collaborate with UX manager, UX designer and product managers to establish research priorities Work with senior researcher to build partnerships with our clients and secure access to users Work with cross functional teams including product management, UX designers and data analysts Evangelise UX research best practices and processes within the department and work with the senior researcher to drive continuous improvements Be an advocate for our users Plan, conduct and analyse user research studies to gain deep insights into user behaviours, needs, and motivations and communicate insights with others to ensure our findings are understood Manage, track and deliver on commitment timelines Utilise a variety of research methods and effectively run mixed method projects to gather quality insights. Gain domain knowledge and accurately explain the reasons behind user behaviour to articulate root cause of why things are happening Use a variety of documentation skills such as journey mapping, executive summaries, service design maps to communicate insights and share with key stakeholders, senior leadership, product teams, solutions and UX team Support designers and product managers in validating solutions Support activities that make Ocado a great place to work including training, mentoring and internal tooling.

About you:

You are excellent at identifying and executing the most suitable research methodology for the given problem space You build strong relationships and have experience working with cross functional teams of designers and product managers and get them involved to support studies. You are a great storyteller and can create and share research outcomes in a compelling way You are very organised in your research practices
