The Regional Financial Controller for the Turkey region plays a pivotal role within our Accounting Center of Expertise (CoE) team, operating within the Controlling organization. This role is instrumental in ensuring compliance with US GAAP, statutory, and tax requirements within the designated country.

YOU WILL

  • Oversee and support US GAAP, statutory, and tax accounting and reporting for entities within the scope, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of reporting.
  • Ensure adherence of processes to company policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements, and local regulations.
  • Support the enhancement of financial processes and internal controls, conducting regular balance sheet reviews.
  • Manage both internal and external audits effectively.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with finance and non-finance teams, as well as external providers (e.g., auditors), to ensure seamless execution of end-to-end finance processes and drive process efficiency improvements.
  • Lead the resolution of complex accounting and tax issues.
  • Participate in local, regional, and global projects as required.
  • Maintain a focus on continuous process improvement initiatives.

 

YOU NEED

  • A minimum of 6-8 years of accounting and controlling experience.
  • Experience in a multinational environment, with exposure to audits, comprehensive knowledge of US and local GAAPs, tax matters, and prior work experience in Turkey.
  • Excellent communication skills, diplomatic approach, flexible "can do" mindset, and adeptness at multitasking and prioritizing tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to seek improvements and drive change rather than settling for the status quo.
  • Fluent in English and Turkish.
  • Proficiency in reporting tools is essential, with experience in JDE and Blackline considered advantageous.
  • Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting preferred.
  • This role may require additional hours during critical periods (e.g., month-end), and on occasion, work on public holidays may be necessary.
