Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Senior or Principal Software Engineer with extensive experience in C/C++/Golang, and a solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures. You will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of complex software systems that are critical to our core products. Experience with media processing is preferred, as our products require high-performance solutions in this domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Architect Complex Systems: Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex software systems to meet evolving requirements.
  • Software Development: Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code in C/C++/Golang.
  • Algorithm Development: Apply your expertise in algorithms and data structures to solve complex problems efficiently, ensuring optimized solutions.
  • Media Processing (Preferred): Design and optimize media processing pipelines for video/audio, working closely with hardware acceleration and performance optimizations.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide mentorship to junior engineers, lead technical discussions, and help establish best practices in software development.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with product managers, QA, and other engineering teams to understand requirements, deliver new features, and improve system capabilities.
  • Code Reviews and Quality: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure high standards of code quality and assist in the troubleshooting and debugging of complex issues.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for software designs and implementations.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in software development with a focus on C/C++/Golang.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and system design.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing complex systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Experience with media processing and/or real-time systems is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in multithreading and concurrent programming.
  • Experience with software optimization and performance tuning.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting experience, particularly in complex distributed systems.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.

Preferred Skills

  • Media Processing: Experience with video/audio codecs, transcoding, streaming protocols, or working on similar high-performance media systems.
  • Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/UDP), low-level system programming, or embedded systems.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous.
