Senior News Reporter for the Italian Team

About the Role
As our Senior News Reporter for the Italian team, you will: Snap company news in English and/or domestic languages, covering economic data, reporting and writing, and/or writing translations Lead from the front on coverage tasks and help other team members to be well prepared to cover events as needed Provide training and act as a mentor to new members of the team Contribute to the newsroom training efforts by running snapping drills and offering expertise for subject-specific training courses Act as part of a newsroom-wide editing team, pre-edit or edit stories regularly and provide feedback to writers on their work Support the team leader in team-related responsibilities such as rotas, schedules, assigning tasks to others Contribute to special projects related to coverage and take ownership of some project as required Assist with building strong relations with local bureaus and editors Help with corrections to others from the wider newsroom if no team leaders available Be willing to step in for team leader and taking up additional responsibilities as needed
