Job Description
On behalf of a leading international commercial bank with a presence in nearly 50 countries, we are seeking skilled Senior Java Developers to join an agile team dedicated to the development and maintenance of Java-based applications.
 As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for building Java-based applications, working in an Agile team that includes Product Owners, Developers, UX Designers, and Application Owners (AOs). The team works closely with other teams in the cluster to deliver solutions for the client's portal.
 Your key responsibilities:
 
  • Designing and developing web-based applications that expose APIs for the Bank, primarily focusing on backend development.
  • Developing mid-tier solutions using Java Spring Boot to enable frontend functionalities.
  • Creating interfaces to bridge frontends with backends, involving understanding complex business requirements and digital finance data processes, with support from business analysts and other team members.
  • Optimizing web applications for performance and scalability.
  • Leading technical discussions, focusing on customer impact and ensuring high technical quality.
  • Working within a dynamic agile team structure alongside business analysts and application operation experts.
  • Participating in regular scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, planning, reviews, and retrospectives).
  • Sharing knowledge and learning from team members.

Requirements
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Maven.
  • Experience with frontend-backend integration using API/REST.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and architectural concepts.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS, React, JavaScript, and Ajax.
  • Awareness of secure coding practices.
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Node.js, and Maven.
  • English language proficiency at the B2 level.
