We as Hitachi Energy are looking for a qualified Supply Chain Management Specialist who will be at the forefront of shaping the future of energy supply chain operations.

This position will support the Factory SCM Manager in ensuring implementation and adherence to SCM strategies, processes and follow up in the factory to ensure material availability, delivery performance and cost competitiveness. Factory Supply Chain Specialist supports management of assigned spend with a short term and medium-term sourcing strategy to meet targets on total cost of ownership, quality, and reliability of supplies. Collaborates with factory and HUB stakeholders to support the undertakings, project implementation.

Your responsibilities

Managing local allocated direct spend in accordance with instructions and guidelines. Collaborating with suppliers and Category Managers to optimize cost, submit requests for quotation and drive cost savings project. Identifying new suppliers, qualifying new suppliers in cooperation with Supplier Quality and Engineering specialists. Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renewing pricelists, terms, and conditions. Supporting the material price and Terms & Conditions control throughout the value chain Supporting Factory SCM in material cost cutting and risk mitigation projects. Measuring gaps tender/actuals, investigating on root causes, and taking adequate corrective/preventive measures. Supporting tender material costing and running tender specific negotiations where applicable. Supporting in liaison to Planning & Fulfillment team in the ERP data management under Supply Chain Management responsibility. Supporting on analysis and reporting tasks.  Working on improving assigned supplier performance measurement and improvement tasks. Supporting on assigned claim management to maximize compensation to Hitachi Energy and escalate as necessary. Supporting on SCM related local activities for R&D, DTV, New Product Introduction, product cost improvement project.

 
Your background

Master’s degree in Logistics, Economics, Engineering or similar field. At least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain or Procurement. Very good knowledge of contract management, Microsoft Office and knowledge of SAP S4HANA is highly beneficial. Fluent in Polish and English. Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. Team spirit and excellent communication skills. Flexibility and ability to work independently.
