Role Overview:

As a Cash Collection Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient cash collection processes, working closely with clients to manage overdue accounts, and supporting overall financial performance. In this role, you will collaborate with both local and global finance teams, providing high-quality service while maintaining strong professional relationships. You will also play an important role in knowledge sharing, training junior colleagues, and continuously improving internal processes to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily cash collection activities, ensuring prompt and accurate payments.
  • Monitor and report on the status of collection efforts and results.
  • Communicate with clients to resolve overdue accounts and identify reasons for non-payment.
  • Prepare and follow up on dunning letters.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and service excellence.
  • Generate various financial reports for internal teams.
  • Support colleagues in resolving routine cases to maintain client satisfaction.
  • Provide training and share knowledge with junior team members and interns.
  • Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with local finance teams to align processes and strategies.
  • Follow, create, and maintain detailed work instructions for collection activities.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in collections or 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Advanced proficiency in English and French.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Analytical thinking and sound legal/financial knowledge.
  • A willingness to learn and share expertise with colleagues.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with others.
  • Strong organizational skills and time management abilities.
  • Good customer service skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and decision-making skills in standard situations.
