Are you our new Global Senior Cloud Security Engineer?

 

Location: Flexible, among our offices ().

As part of our Global Cyber Security team we are looking for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer with a strong technical background in cloud infrastructure and security. Who will be supporting us in all Cyber Security operations covering enterprise and cloud security across the Organisation, supporting all the business divisions.

 

Working closely with stakeholders and third parties you will ensure that the appropriate objectives and priorities are enabled and supported to protect our Cloud infrastructure from cyber threats.

 

You need to have a thorough understanding of complex IT systems, Cloud Security technologies, be able to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders at different layers in the organization both verbally and in writing in English, and stay up to date with all the latest security standards and best practices. 

The Senior Cloud Security Engineer is a member of the Global Cyber Security team and reports to the Global Cyber Security Manager.
 

What you will do:

  • Technical ownership of key Security deliverables with relation to the Cloud
  • SME accountability for core security control framework components & services
  • Hands on experience Microsoft Azure deployment of security related IaaC, practical hands on knowledge on Terraform.
    • Experience of Cloud Security Tools and manage and maintain the security components of the cloud platform
  • Define the security controls for the cloud platforms. Including administrative controls and defining the related process.
  • Ratifying the risk rating and endorse the acceptance of risk in line with risk mitigation controls
  • Provide technical leadership for the deployment of security monitoring capabilities, including SIEM
    • Create a culture of cloud adoption while instilling privacy by design and security best practices.
    • Include Cyber Security into the architectural decision-making process
    • Monitor for potential security improvements and oversee their implementation
    • Collaborate with the development and operations teams as well as DevSecOps to integrate security into the development lifecycle.
    • Track compliance with internal rules and regulatory standards for solutions deployed in the cloud
    • Support the development and operation of incident management plans and playbooks, vulnerability scanning and remediation
  • You stay updated with modern security best practices, technologies and emerging threats.
  • Act as a security consultant and advisor to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Monitor vulnerability identification activities (scanning, penetration tests, etc.) and ensure timely remediation. 
  • Contribute to and execute the Cyber security roadmap by identification, selection, testing (PoC) and implementation of enterprise security technologies. 
  • Support regular Cyber Security reporting, KPI’s and dashboards 
  • Representing Cyber Security at localised governance forums

What we are looking for:

5 years solid experience in cloud  security roles

Strong in Cloud security Architecture, Operations, Networking.

Practical experience in using Microsoft cloud security stack, Azure, O365 , Sentinel

Practical experience in using Azure DevOps Repos, YAML-pipelines and Terraform for deploying Azure resources. Azure ARM, Bicep.

Define and deliver strategies and roadmaps.

Deep understanding of cloud security best practices and security architecture.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Proven experience in implementing and managing cloud security controls.

Experience in collaboration with MSSP(s)

Understand the transformation of traditional data center security measures into hybrid and Cloud deployment

Working knowledge of design principles relating to CASB, DLP, IDS/ IPS, Firewalls, WAFs, SASE, DdoS, Proxies, Identity Access Management, Certificate Management, SIEM, Endpoint Protection, Anti-malware, vulnerability management

Experience in ITSM/ITIL

Understanding of the Secure SDLC process - DevSecOps and follow the process to effectively protect the developed and designed solutions

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Effective English communication skills (verbal & written).  

Project management skils.

Previous experience working within a global security function is also desirable

Demonstrated leadership skills with the experience of working effectively across various levels and different locations and stakeholders with different technical or security experience levels.  

Training courses and certification concerning security will be considered a plus (CCSP, CCSK, CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, SABSA, AZ-500, etc.)
