Circle K Business Centre is a shared service center which supports Circle K through a wide range of services within Information Technologies, Finance & Control, Human Resources, Transport Fuel and Customer Service.

Position: Section Leader – Senior Manager Development  

Organization/department: Global Technology / Global Software Development
Section: Mobility 

Reports to: Software Development Director at Circle K Business Centre
Team: 5 Software Development Managers, 10-12 software development teams

Key responsibilities:   

The main scope of duties for this role will be to: 

Lead one of the three software development sections and overseedelivery in the domain of Electric Vehicles and B2B Mobility Services. 

Contribute to Circle K strategy through delivering custom software solutions and technology.

Collaborate as one team with business and technology partners to ensure alignment on goals, progress, and deliverables. This includes ensuring transparency, communication, and fosteringgreat partnership. 

Drive continuous improvements within the Global Software Development organization in terms of delivering value, increasing employee engagement, and implementing best practices and effective working methods.

Ensure the proper level of quality, performance, and adherence to standards and practices.

Ensure excellent communication to your teams, partners,and leadership. 

Managebudget of your section and initiatives, including planning, execution, and proper level of reporting.

Oversee capacity and resource management, including coordination with internal teams and various forms of collaboration with vendors.

Monitor KPIs and ensure regular, consistent reporting on progress towards goals.

Key requirements:   

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent work experience.

12+ years of experience in Software Development, including 3+ years as a manager of managers.

3+ years of experience with lean-agile software development and DevOps culture.

Experience in a global and distributed organization.

Good knowledge of various software development approaches, ranging from Agile to Waterfall. Familiarity with SAFe is an added advantage.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.

Experience in Vendor Management and delivering software through internal teams as well as various forms of collaboration with vendors.

Proficiency in navigating ambiguity, working in a relatively unstructured environment, and managing risk. Must possess the ability to establish good governance and guide teams through uncertainty.

Prior experience in a consulting or software house, and in the retail sector, is advantageous.
