Your role in the team

The Financial Controller is responsible for the integrity of the accounting and financial reporting of Spectrum MTF Operator GmbH (Spectrum Markets). It acts as a bridge between the Finance Centre of Excellence and the finance teams in designated finance entities. The reporting line is directly into the Head of Finance MTF.

What you’ll do

Regular control around local GAAP (“HGB”, “RechKredV”) and IFRS group financials and preparation of local GAAP financials (BS and PL) including the performance of certain month end activities Analysis of the performance of Spectrum Markets MTF and preparation of management reports Control around invoices of Spectrum and building processes around controlling the cost base. Investigation and clarification of open items around invoices and POs Overseeing and supporting the daily coding of cashbooks and invoices Supporting the month-end close of Spectrum books and records and engaging with the rest of Finance organisation to perform relevant balance sheet reconciliations Support of the group tax teams for monthly and annual tax returns. GL postings of submitted tax returns Preparation and submission of Spectrum’s regulatory returns as well as risk management reports Supporting the annual financial audit as well as ad hoc tax and regulatory audits Supporting the move of all manual local GAAP adjustments into HFM / SUN Setting up and maintaining the documentation around new processes built under own responsibility Driving forward and supporting the closure of any internal and external ad hoc requests Supporting the Group and European projects for the topics owned

What you’ll need for this role

- years of experience as a Financial Controller and good IFRS skills. German GAAP is an advantage. Good analytical skills – the ability to seek and resolve daily financial and operational issues while focusing on addressing open issues independently and taking ownership to resolve matters The ability to document and map systems and their requirements in detail You need to be a team player who likes to work in an international environment Excellent communication skills – the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues and stakeholders Fluent English in communication and writing. Knowledge of German is an advantage Self-motivation and organization – the ability to manage your own time and task list effectively
