For our client, a respected international organisation operating in the area of Education and Culture, we are looking for an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist who will contribute to creating value by, among others, management reporting, analysis and interpretation of financial trends (remotely).

your tasks

Planning, forecasting and budgeting

  • supporting the planning process for the Strategic Business Unit, ensuring proper tools are in place and responding to the individual business needs, challenging submissions,
    identifying synergies and ensuring delivery to deadlines
  • providing user-friendly cluster consolidation and interpretation of plans/forecasts
    and actual financial data, ensuring they are in line with SBU strategy.
  • supporting FP&A Regional Lead and also the Head of FP&A in the introduction of
    any changes (regionally or corporate led) on planning and forecasting processes and tools.
  • ensuring plan and forecast data by the businesses are in line with approved
    guidelines and assumptions.
  • supporting FP&A Regional Lead and also the Head of FP&A in developing planning tools that automate and streamline planning and forecasting processes at country and regional level
  • providing financial data necessary for investment cases writing, modeling and scenario planning, pipeline financial management and follow up
  • supporting the Regional/ country /cluster SBU leads and Country Directors with FP&A activities relevant to them

Financial analysis:

  • analysing growth trends, product trends and KPIs across the region, making recommendations to maximise pportunities and manage risks to ensure targets are met
  • performing analysis scenario planning and modelling, based on the stakeholder needs

Management Reporting:

  • managing the regional reporting and commentary process for consolidation at Regional level for SBU leads, the regional leadership team
  • liaising with business leads for any variances between business planning and operational planning figures and providing explanations / commentary
  • reviewing the monthly dashboard output to assess pipeline activities to achieve next period’s target.

what we expect

  • minimum 2 years of experience in Operational financial management or management accounting
  • delivering results within a complex international structure and reporting to tight deadlines
  • experience of working in a multinational; multi-cultural organization, with a complex international structure
  • experience on provision and interpretation of financial information
  • strong skills in business partnering
  • advanced Excel skills, inc complex pivot tables and tools to link/ update financial data
  • skills in using technology.
