Senior Software Quality Engineer (Front-end | Automation | Python | JavaScript)

Our team delivers innovative features for Dell's award-winning PowerStore, a leading Midrange Storage product. You will gain invaluable skills and make an immediate impact in functional areas, including storage provisioning, hosts & initiators (iSCSI, FC, NVMe), system integrity, performance monitoring, alerting, security, initial configuration, physical inventory, protection policies, data mobility and protection, and serviceability infrastructure.

What you will achieve

As a Senior Software Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for participating in new feature design discussions, developing test plans, executing tests, designing, and automating tests, and reporting results.

You will:

  1. Work as part of an Agile scrum team in a continuous integration and continuous development environment and contribute to the test architecture and scope of high-quality, complex systems and software/storage features.
  2. Contribute significantly to test automation as part of feature delivery.
  3. Conduct testing and automation for both front end/GUI features and embedded serviceability features.
  4. Collaborate with a diverse team of software engineers and test engineers both within and across product teams to build the test environment utilized to validate the CI/CD environment.

Essential Requirements

  1. 5+ years of experience in functional testing including development of automation.
  2. 2+ years of experience with building automation using either industry frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestCafe, Playwright) or internally developed framework.
  3. Working experience with Python, JavaScript, REST APIs, Jenkins, Linux.
  4. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
  5. Self-learning abilities, critical thinking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Requirements

  1. Experience working in a geo-distributed team using Agile.
  2. Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.
