Team Manager, AGI-DS , AGI Data Services Operation

We are seeking an experienced team manager to join our operations in AGI DS to develop, manage, and support our AGI Data Services Operations team with Speech and language solutions. The AGI DS team researches and delivers high-caliber multi-language Text-to-Speech technology, leading to voice quality and accuracy.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Manages team size of approximately 25 ML Data Associates.
  2. Executes plans for team to perform tasks related to multiple ML workflows in a well-defined process area.
  3. Ensures ML data workflows are quality compliant. Analyzes ML data, SIM issues, and metrics. Highlights trends, gaps, etc. Provides status reports.
  4. Identifies risks and ensures escalations reach the right people. Adherence to confidentiality and compliance requirements.
  5. Responsible for known SLAs and task completion targets (within provided capacity) for specific customers.
  6. Works with internal/ external teams and uses his/her knowledge and expertise to execute business goals.
  7. Uses data to set/revisit operational goals and manage activities.
  8. Manages escalation/ complex tickets; analyzes data; highlights trends, gaps, etc.; and reports key metrics.
  9. Presents data in business meetings/reviews.
  10. Design and implement process improvement projects that impact team level performance. Participates in new workflow roll out projects teams.
  11. Coaches direct reports on demonstrating leadership principles in their role.
  12. Assigns appropriate challenging work to employees to develop & prepare them for larger roles.
  13. Provides team guidance on work types and prioritization. Work of team primarily focuses on straightforward, well-defined objectives, but may take on ad hoc and ill-defined requests.
  14. Devises and implements performance improvement plans for associates. Provides regular coaching and feedback to direct reports with regard to quality, performance, behavior and career development.
  15. Performance manages team based on metrics & deliverables on a regular basis, and make decisions on hiring & firing.
  16. Holds team members accountable for performance based on metrics and adherence to rules and guidelines.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Liberal Arts, Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, Social Sciences, Visual and Performing Arts, or Communication.


• Experience managing high performing teams of up to 20-25 direct reports.


• Strong proficiency in English across verbal, written, reading, and comprehension skills.


• Experience with process improvement/quality control tools and methods.


• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse talent within a team, work cross-functionally, and build consensus on difficult issues.


• Strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.


• Strong interest in hiring and developing people in their respective roles.


• Leadership experience in coaching and performance management.


• Experience in managing process and operational escalations.


• Experience with aspects of speech and language technology.


• Demonstrated passion for delivering a positive customer experience, and maintain composure in ambiguous and difficult situations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


• Fluency in any of these languages: French, Italian, or German is a plus.


• Master's Degree in a relevant field.


• Working Knowledge of Machine Learning.


• Familiarity with Large Language Models.


• Experience working in ambiguous roles.


• Experience with aspects of speech and language technology.
