This role involves managing various accounting tasks, maintaining the accuracy and integrity of corporate accounting records, maintaining compliance with accounting principles and regulations, and handling other general accounting duties as assigned. The ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness is critical.
Key responsibilities include ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. The role also involves maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing and monitoring accounting entries to identify and resolve discrepancies, collaborating with other departments to ensure proper coding and classification of expenses and revenues, and conducting balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analysis for periodic financial results.
We are looking for a highly experienced accounting professional with a proven track record of progressively increasing responsibilities, including public accounting experience. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
