Senior Digital Finance Transformation Consultant

As part of our Finance Consulting Practice, you will help clients in their Business Transformation assignments from a functional perspective. This includes working along with the clientele within the sub-competency Digital Finance. As a Digital Finance Consultant, you will be responsible for guiding and supporting organizations in their financial transformation. This includes providing strategic advice, collecting requirements, defining processes and procedures, and implementing best practices. You will work closely with clients to assess their needs, develop implementation plans, and provide ongoing support.

Skills and attributes for success
  • Experience working in project and consulting environment demonstrating core consulting skills such as data analytics and interpretation, applying structured problem-solving skills, developing market insights and intelligence, and effectively managing projects using project management disciplines.
  • Technical knowledge: Experience with technical solutions like Oracle ARCS, Trintech, BlackLine, Onestream, or Tagetik, and knowledge of ledger and sub-ledger systems such as SAP ERP/HANA, Oracle GL (good to have).
  • Finance functions: Experience with finance functions such as record-to-report processes involving account reconciliations, journals, transaction matching, variance analysis, intercompany, etc.
  • Financial Consolidation and Close: Knowledge on financial consolidation and close, cost allocation, and finance planning and budgeting processes.
  • Accounting skills: Strong accounting skills and understanding of financial reports and statements as well as good experience in chart of accounts design.
  • Business requirements translation: Ability to translate business requirements to technical language and model/program them in applications.
  • Prioritization skills: Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Analytical skills: Strong analytical skills as well as excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Communication style: Confident & professional communication style with proficiency in English (oral and written) and ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
  • Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Collaboration skills: Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization; capability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
  • Leadership skills: Ability to lead and manage a team of consultants; must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others.
  • Travel: Open to travel (domestic & international).
To qualify for the role, you must have
  • MBA or Master's in Business Administration in Finance / CA / CFA.
  • Bachelor's in technology or engineering.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Proficiency in English and German.
Ideally, you'll also have
  • Master's degree in Finance and Accounting or any other related field.
  • 4+ years of total consulting experience.
  • 2+ years' experience in FinTech transformation programs.
  • Business Finance Transformation experience.
  • Exposure to tools like SAP, HFM, etc.
