Project Description:

The client is a large investment bank, operating on a global scale.

The scope of the project comprises of the following functional areas:

  1. Build & Deploy DevOps toolchains (GitLab (20%) and an integrated platform consisting of commercial and in-house tools (80%))
  2. Security Scanning

The goal of the project is to plan migration, decommissioning and final removal of all these services. In the meantime, we will provide support and maintenance, conduct enhancements and development projects, ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  1. Architecture design and implementation of Java-based applications
  2. Gather requirements from customers and translate them into solutions
  3. Interact with client, lead meetings
  4. Analyze issues within applications/systems and define corrective measures
  5. Cooperate with other teams in engineering and delivery of large scale programs
  6. Software development projects coordination and execution
  7. Implementation of new functionalities and improvements

Mandatory Skills Description:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as Java developer
  • Excellent communication skills, enjoy interacting with people
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders on different levels
  • Architecture design and implementation of Java-based applications
  • In-depth understanding of Java's core concepts
  • Experience optimizing Java applications to ensure optimal performance
  • Spring/SpringBoot
  • Understanding of security best practices in Java, SSL/TSL certificates
  • Infrastructure as Code
  • Gitlab, Bitbucket
  • REST
  • Basic proficiency in DevOps practices, including building automation, continuous integration, and development processes
  • Experience working in a large international organization

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

  • Python
  • Experience in banking industry
