About the role

A Data Architect, within Reckitt known as Data Product Manager, plays a crucial role in designing data products infrastructure to extract, organize, and manage data for authorized individuals within an organization. They collaborate with department heads, business users, analyze data available and create and maintain data models. If you're passionate about data modeling, database design, and you know what Data Mesh concept and FAIR principle are, this role might be a great fit for you

Your responsibilities

  1. Identify Core Data Elements & Entities.
  2. Be responsible for data products architecture: create and design every aspect of a database, including conceptual and logical data models and data flow diagram using a diagram drawing tool.
  3. Understand, document, and maintain the data lineage for given data products in scope.
  4. Be the F.A.I.R. Guardian - ensure that data is Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable.
  5. Identify areas for improvement in current data products.
  6. Create documentation for existing data products in scope of a given area. Retrofit existing data products to be compliant with company standards documentation wise.
  7. Identify data duplication between existing data platforms and design new data models to deduplicate common datasets.
  8. Make sure that the data products are properly catalogued and follow the definition of done principles.
  9. Collaborate with other Data Product Managers to work on the cross-domain data sharing, identify the needs of other products and make sure data contracts are in place.
  10. Keep the confidential data secure by identifying the security rules & requirements and working with Solution Architecture Team on implementing them.
  11. Collaborate with senior Stakeholders to understand the Business needs and improve existing data models.
  12. Be part of a Data Governance chapter and collaborate with the larger team within the Data and Analytics department.
  13. Work closely with the squad (Data Engineers, Scrum Masters and Business Analysts) to make sure data products are being built as per architectural design.

The experience we're looking for

  1. 8+ years of experience with 4-6 years working with Data Business analysis or Data & Analytics products.
  2. Experience with Microsoft Azure tech stack (Databricks, ADO, ADF).
  3. Understanding of Data Mesh concept and F.A.I.R. principle.
  4. Knowledge and understanding of Data Layers (Medallion Architecture) and Kimball Dimensional Modelling.
  5. Data modelling skills (conceptual & logical data models, defining keys and dimensional vs transactional tables relations, normalized vs denormalized data).
  6. Understanding of PowerBI, basic SQL/R/Python skills to be able to query the tables.
  7. Superior analytical skills and attention to detail.
  8. Creative problem-solving abilities and unconstrained thinking approach.
  9. Ability to work in a high paced, dynamic environment, change management skills.
