Commodity Manager Capex

Take on challenging tasks

• We are looking for Commodity Managers for the following commodity group: Capex (Machinery & Storage Facilities, Spare parts).
• The role will encompass all entities of the Dürr Group companies in Germany and Poland.
• As a Commodity Manager, you will collaborate with business units to identify and execute new projects and purchasing initiatives, as well as analyze the existing supplier base.
• Your responsibilities will include conducting tenders, evaluating offers, negotiating prices, quantities, delivery and payment terms, and concluding contracts in a defined commodity group.
• Initiating, implementing, and reporting cost optimization projects and synergy potentials within the Group companies.
• Structuring and optimizing the supplier portfolio.
• Continuous improvement of purchasing processes in cooperation with local business units (including Finance and Controlling).
• Improving and controlling the purchasing and order fulfillment process in line with corporate goals and needs.
• Defining commodity strategy in alignment with Group policies.

Your skills

• Higher education in a relevant field.
• Several years of professional experience in a similar position.
• Very good knowledge of German; good knowledge of English in speech and writing would also be an asset.
• Knowledge of MS-Office and experience with SAP R/3.
• Knowledge of eProcurement systems (e.g. SAP Ariba, Coupa).
• Process-oriented work, determination, and result orientation.
• Negotiation skills with necessary persuasive and communication skills.
• Personal initiative, teamwork skills, and intercultural competences.
