Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage and maintain the AKS environment, implement container networking solutions, oversee storage, manage infrastructure using Terraform, and ensure high availability and performance. You will work closely with support teams, document infrastructure configurations, and maintain critical systems, ensuring a stable and efficient Kubernetes environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) environment.
  • Implement and oversee container networking, including ingress/egress, load balancing, and network security.
  • Handle storage solutions using Azure Storage Account and Azure Container Registry (ACR).
  • Deploy and manage infrastructure using Terraform.
  • Implement backup solutions using Velero and manage disaster recovery processes.
  • Monitor and maintain Linux-based systems and Docker containers.
  • Document infrastructure setups and configurations.
  • Utilize Azure monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, App Insight, and Log Analytics to track infrastructure performance.
  • Implement security measures using Azure Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the AKS environment, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve incidents and service requests.

Experience:

  • 6-8 years of experience in Azure administration and collaboration with various teams like networking and databases to resolve infrastructure issues.
  • 8-10 years of hands-on experience in the administration of Azure infrastructure.
  • Advanced knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS) and Azure Networking.
  • Intermediate expertise in Azure Storage Account, Azure Container Registry (ACR), and Terraform.
  • Experience with Velero, disaster recovery mechanisms, Linux, Docker, and YAML.
  • Proficiency in scripting with Bash, Python for automation of daily tasks.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, and others.
  • Ensure comprehensive coverage and visibility into the health and performance of Kubernetes clusters and microservices.
  • Ability to develop custom monitoring solutions and integrations.
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders effectively.
  • Proactive attitude and problem-solving mindset.
