Position: Senior Angular Software Engineer

The position is based in our friendly office in Warsaw, Poland. As a Senior Angular Software Engineer, you will work in an agile development team enabling modern mortgage solutions for the Danish market. You will be part of a full-stack team with Angular and Java developers, testers, and business analysts.

The team is responsible for the development of applications supporting bank advisors during the process of granting and maintaining mortgage loans. We are part of the Mortgage Domain, where we have 4 cross-functional teams delivering new features to Danish banks.

As a Senior Angular Software Engineer, you will have a chance to play a key role in shaping the front-end architecture and help us modernize our application.

The team currently consists of 10 dedicated members with employees split between Denmark and Poland. At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month. Your direct manager will be Jakub Milewski.

Primary tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Developing & documenting front-end business solutions.
  • Driving architectural changes and creating standards around front-end development for client-facing solutions.
  • Being responsible for the whole development lifecycle: from technical analysis of stories and bugs, technical design, to development, dev testing, and release.
  • Applying DevOps culture into your daily work, looking for process improvements and driving their implementation.
  • Working closely with fellow developers, architects, BAs, testers, and Product Owners.

To succeed, you will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in front-end development in Angular.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Experience working with micro frontends or hybrid app architecture (at least one is a must).
  • Experience with complex Angular applications, components, modules, services, RxJS, and observables.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jasmine or Jest) & test runner frameworks (e.g., Karma, Playwright).
  • Understanding of UI frameworks concepts (e.g., Google Material Design).
  • Hands-on experience with GIT, BitBucket, Jira, Confluence, VS Code or IntelliJ IDEA.
  • Familiarity with mentoring using pair programming, code reviews, and firm mentorship.
  • Familiarity with Software Craftsmanship and Built-in Quality.
  • A naturally curious, detail-oriented, proactive approach focused on helping each other.
  • Higher education, preferably in IT.
