The opportunity

As part of our EY GDS Poland - Finance Consulting Practice, you will support our clients in creating and maintaining high-quality financial reporting. This includes working on client projects within an SAP environment, improving business processes through advanced data analysis, and developing IT-based solutions in data analytics. You will work closely with clients to assess their needs, execute plans, and provide ongoing support for successful outcomes.

Your key responsibilities

  • Finance and Reporting: Support clients with a broad portfolio of services in accounting and transaction areas, and assist with challenges in consolidation and reporting.
  • Accounting Standards: Assess the impact of different standards (HGB, IFRS, US GAAP) on complex accounting issues.
  • Digitalization of financial processes: Work in teams that combine accounting expertise with IT, supporting projects in the SAP environment and improving business processes through data analysis.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Strong understanding of financial reports and statements, and knowledge of finance consolidation.
  • Proficiency in the SAP environment (FI/CO, SD, MM, SEM-BCS, BW, S/4HANA).
  • Experience with data migration and a basic understanding of financial statements.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP, HGB).
  • Expertise in finance and accounting functions in at least two domains – Record to report (RTR), Procure to pay (PTP), Order to cash (OTC).
  • Ability to provide accounting advice on various process transition topics.

Good to have experience / exposure:

  • Knowledge of reporting solutions (PowerBI), ERP (SAP, Dynamics), and finance platforms (Tagetik, Anaplan, OneStream).
  • Ability to translate business requirements to technical language.
  • Experience in Chart of accounts (CoA) design.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks under pressure.
  • Experience in managing/supervising teams on project work.
  • Open to travel (Domestic & International).

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Master's degree in Finance and Accounting or related fields.
  • 5+ years of total consulting experience.
  • 2+ years' experience in Business Process Transition and Business Finance Transformation.
